GunZ- The Duel? GunZ- The Teacher, more like it.

This game has taken up nearly half of my life. To some, a game is just something used to relax- leisure time, if you would. I literally would not be the person I am today without this game. The people I’ve met, along with the amount of times I’ve won and lost- they’ve taught me important lessons. From an experience with the first person I’d ever met on GunZ, I learned that my happiness lies in the happiness of everyone else- therefore I must help everyone as much as possible, seeing as how I couldn’t help that specific person in their darkest times. Even until today, I do not know what has become of that person. Another person taught me another valuable lesson- in life, there is no best. There is only the better. Being superior to everyone else in that specific area does not make one the best at what they do in all of time and space- eventually, someone will become better. It’s like rock, paper, scissors in a sense. He also taught me to practice what I want without preaching- a man with class does not need to utter a single word about what he does. He only does it. Through the community, as well as the actual mechanics of the game, I can tell that it has made me a better person, in a way. I cannot imagine my life being the way it is without it. It’s taught me to care, and it’s taught me to think deeply before acting upon something. Thank you, GunZ Online, for your official service, and may the game thrive in its private servers. The game ended its official North American service on May 31st- courtesy of Aeria games.

3/31/13- Downtime, Downtime, Downtime!

Since Mabinogi servers are experiencing problems, and is currently in the middle of maintenance (fishing and preparing food for my friend who aspires to be a cook was horrible after realizing that we couldn’t trade anything due to the server problems), allow me to share with you… a particular peeve I have with this game during the downtime (not that it isn’t anything natural).

These guys. Yup. These guys right here. Shadow Wizards. I do not have problems with bosses, even if I cannot kill them. I do not have a problem with the Black Ship Rats in Rundal Dungeon that have heavy stander. These. These Devil spawns. They move like a squad. One of them? No problem. Two of them? Sure, it’s fine. But, in this screenshot… EIGHT? EIGHT OF THEM. In one. tiny. room. It literally felt like being kicked into the gutter. I now know how the Dark Commander at the end of Fomor Attack feels when a group of players corner him with the Rusty Longswords. For whatever it may be worth to him, I feel you, “bro”.
They look harmless at first, they teleport, they punch, and they cast magic. In bulk, however, they teleport at different intervals. It reminds me of a wrestling match. Then, suddenly they chuck you into the corner and prevent any form of escape without the aid of a teammate. Man, these guys can move.

Mabinogi Highlight 3/24/13- A Helping Hand in the Dark

The community in Mabinogi never ceases to amaze me. Though we do have the occasional dishonest people, as my last post shows, the rest of the masses impress me. There is no true competition in this game. The world is a vast place full of other players, powerful monsters, and unknown faces. In today’s screenshot, I decided to take on the Head Hyena field boss in Iria, which I found after a Fomor Command Scroll was dropped from fighting an Ancient creature. Though I knew this 12,000 HP boss was out of my league, I decided to try my hand at it alone. Five minutes into the fight, I realized that winning was not a viable option, and that eventually I would lose. Out of the blue, in the vast, empty desert, came players who happened to be in the area in a stroke of luck. They were making their rounds with an attempt to make money by digging up pages. They could have me left to die, and most likely mauled in the face by this ferocious canine. Instead, they proposed a plan. “Why don’t we hold it down, while you shoot it?” With this tactic, we were able to lower the beast’s health from the square 12,000 down to 5,000, with a three-man party. The teamwork and purpose restores some faith in the MMORPG world where people usually boast about being the best. Though we did not success, we were pretty damn close- closer than I would’ve gotten by myself. Teamwork does not have to happen with people you know. A helping hand in a dark and grim situation, no matter who it may be- a friend, or a stranger- will always be able to brighten that person’s day, if not potentially save them in more ways than one.

Mabinogi Highlight- 3/23/13- Deceit Never Prevails
This is a bird’s eye view of a chase that ensued between a shady, and dishonest player and myself (the guy in black on the bottom). He had challenged me to a PVP battle, so I accepted. Halfway through, I began to win, and he wanted to cancel the fight, because he claimed that his “keys had stopped working”. I then noticed that he had a 100% win rate, and I immediately realized his intention of keeping that 100%. After ten minutes of a long footrace across the game’s continent, we finally reached our conclusion, and he, acting like a twelve year old, threatened to kick me off the game. He now has a 75% win rate. If he wanted to keep his ratio, I honestly would have let him walk away if he had done the right thing and asked. Being rude, dishonest, and an outright liar will never get you anywhere if you are doing a bad job of it. People like these deserve what they are trying to hide from, even if it takes a ten to twenty minute chase down a virtual game’s continent through a desert.

(The one who took the bird eye’s view screenshot was a school mate of mine who decided to follow me after seeing what had happened. Needless to say, it was a beautiful angle.)

Was he a Fighter? Because Fighters actually are glitched.

He was a fighter, but he was able to shoot me after… “fixing” himself twenty feet away. Afterwards, he started cussing me out. Fighters who are glitched can get out of it using Focused Fist. He lied, and said he could not use it.

My main is here, I reblog some Mabi things sometimes, as well as other games

But if you don’t mind then thanks for following :)

Hello! I am aware that this is an RP blog. I’ve read through an amount of the content you carry on your page, and I am completely fine with it! If anything, I would encourage them to keep coming. You have my follow for both of your blogs. Keep them coming, and have a nice day!

Ridiculously Photogenic Screenshot-

A friend of mine wanted to show our Skype group the big, black, naked giant (don’t ask), and took a screencap of it. However, I’m not finding the giant as interesting (though he is, of course, rather big) as the actual quality of the screenshot. Very rarely do I see a screenshot of this game look so high quality… it seems almost edited, in my opinion. All in all, though, I think this is one of the best screenshots I have ever seen in this game.
